The messages of positivity, community, and love returns to the skies of New Orleans on Fat Tuesday with an Hawaiian theme for 2017.
“Aloha” can have many meanings in Hawaiian including themes of love, peace, and compassion. A life of Aloha is when the heart is so full that it’s overflowing with the ability to influence others around you with your spirit. We believe that the spirit of Aloha reflects the feeling of New Orleans too. Look to the skies on Tuesday February 28th, 2017 to spot words like ALOHA and OHANA during the Rex Parade.
Frank Scurlock of Scurlock Entertainment has just returned from a trip to Hawaii, which he says
“[…] was a religious experience. It was an overwhelming feeling of peace and togetherness. That’s why I picked [the Hawaiian theme] for this year’s Mardi Gras sky writing.”
And that’s not all he envisions for the future for New Orleans! Scurlock Entertainment hopes to gain the property rights for Dreamlanding during a board meeting with the Industrial Development Board of the City of New Orleans on March 14th. If the property is secured, the first phase of development will be complete by Memorial Day weekend (May 27 & 28) of this year. Contact Frank Scurlock for more information.
